Say "HEY" if you love Andy!

I remember watching Andy Griffith ever since I was a little girl. I loved Andy and Barney was great. Anyhow, I'm so glad God allowed us to see Andy Griffith's home town of Mt. Airy, the very town and people the actual show was made after. It was awesome! Here are some snapshots!

If you grew up with Andy and Barney then you have to go to Mt. Airy, NC. It was one of the neatest things I've seen and believe me I've seen some things!

  1. Loved your pictures Tori! We will have to make it a "to do" on our furlough list. We love Andy Griffith.
Virginia has a museum and things pertaining to the Waltons along Skyline Drive in the beautiful mountains.
Hope that you guys are doing well. :)

  3. Wow, those photos bring back a lot of memories. I went there with my parents in '93! My family went back 3 years ago and went through the Andy Griffith museum. It was a lot of fun. Love Andy! :)

  4. We visited there when we were on deputation but didn't have time for a tour. :( Looks SO neat! We'll have to do that when we are home.

  5. We are Andy Griffith fanatics! We have the first five seasons plus a couple "classic" dvds! We just watched the last dvd from the fourth season after church today! I love Barney, Otis and Earnest T. Bass. My sister got our family an Andy Griffith show board game a couple of Christmas's ago. She got it for $5.00 at a yard sale! It is in like new condition. I would love to go to Mt. Airy! I read that it has only been in recent years that Andy admitted to the show being based from his home town of Mt. Airy. But there is no mistaking it really.

  6. I really enjoyed reading this post, especially since I live here in Mt. Airy. :) It is one of the best places I've ever lived, people are so friendly and laid back. I should probably go on one of the Police car tours so I can see if I have missed anything since I've lived here. haha
