About Me

I'm a  42  um...46  48 year old Texan living in Croatia. I was saved in May of 1993 and my life has never been the same. Next to finding my Savior Jesus when I was 21, Johnny has been my greatest find on this earth; I've shared his life for the last 30 years and can't imagine taking one breath without him.

Johnny and I are the middle-aged  mature parents to three grown people. Cody is our oldest son and he'll be 30 in October. We're praying that he will finally find God's perfect will for his life and serve the Lord with all his heart.
Joshua is a our middle son, he's 27 and married to Serina. They made us grandparents and we love them for that. Garren (Garebear) has changed our lives and we love being old enough to be grandparents; don't know why we had to wait this long!

Our baby girl Hannah is far from a baby; she's almost 25 and married her Minnesota-boy Jared, in January 2019. We used to joke with her and tell her that her brother was our favorite because he gave a grandbaby but we can't joke any longer, she and Jared have a little baby boy coming in July. We are thrilled!

It's been a long journey to make Croatia my Home Away From Home but I can say that Galatians 6:9 is absolutely true; "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." Over time God has knit my heart with the Croatian people and country which has allowed us to serve here for many years. It's my heart's desire to help other ladies to accept the will of God for their lives and live with purpose and joy.

  1. Super interesting! I loved reading all of this and hope the Croatians aren't known for being liars. :o) You'll crack up but I thought the bit about the house trailer hospital was funny, especially since they bulldozed the one where I was born! :o) Oh well . . . at least we got born! Great to see your kids and hubby and get acquainted.

  2. Thanks for dropping by Jerralea's Journey. I stopped by to check out your blog and I think we could be internet friends, so I became your newest follower. I don't like liars, either, and I can't understand why anyone would not accept Jesus as Savior.

  3. I am not a fan of green peas, either. :-) Or lying or gossip. It's sad when people don't seem to understand or don't want to accept Christ as Savior.
