I'm Starting Again

Okay so I've been keeping a weight loss blog and not telling ya, sorry. I starting I'm Starting Again
a while ago and I've been posting since. Well I'm happy to tell ya that I'm officially down 20 lbs!!!! Yea! I'm very excited about it and my sweet hubby doesn't mind either!

Obesity seems like a plague among women who are in the ministry. We are so busy working and serving and entertaining that we tend to forget about us. I don't think for a second we should focus on us, no Jesus should be our focus but we do need to spend a little time thinking about the tool He gave us to use for His service. How long can we serve if we are sick and so overweight that we are ashamed to go out? I think this is a very important area in our lives and we need to do our best to put some focus on it. Obviously I haven't been cured of this problem in my life, but I'm trying and with Christ I'm making some progress and you can too.

  1. I'll be praying for you. When we were in Nepal everyone looked , no stared, at us. The main reason is because of our white skin, then I think because of the number of kids we have, then it was because of my weight. They think you are rich because you are overweight. LOL Well, all americans are rich and have more than them.
Anyway, I will be praying for you with your weight loss. I wish I would start but I just love that "comfort food". LOL

  4. Congratulations Tori! Don't you feel great?!?

With my girls in school, I walk them to school in the morning, and then I go home again. Then I go back to get them for lunch and we all come home. Then I walk them back to school after lunch and I return home. And again when school is out!! So that's 4 trips for me. It's about a 10 minute walk one way so that 80 minutes I spend walking...wow! I'm taking advantage of this exercise without even thinking it's exercise! Pretty cool huh?!

  7. This was a big point of conviction in my own life. The Father...gently, mind you...showed me that my weight was not a good testiment to His faithfulness. I had such a desire to serve Him in ministry, but I now believe one of the main reasons my ministry didn't take right off was because of this stronghold in my life. But, praise Him, His weapons are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds!!!!

I'm so happy for your success...that seems to be the best motivator.
