To Do Tuesday #(who knows)

I can't even tell you when I did a To Do Tuesday last but alas, here I am for To Do Tuesday
I love days like today. Basically all I need to do this week is maintain the house and life as usual. I love the holidays but I love January and the down time. I have friends who love the hustle and bustle of a crazy busy life but I kinda prefer a slower pace and Croatia allows that.

I do need to get a few things done this week and I'm thrilled about #1.

1. Our middle son Josh is getting married!! I'm so thrilled with the young lady God has sent him. They've been courting for a year or so and they've decided July 16th is the day. I have the privilege of designing the wedding invites so I need to get that done this week.

2. I know what you're thinking; "when is she gonna finish this thing?". Well, this week and maybe even today. Do you know how silly it is to make a Christmas quilt a year ago and not finish is and then wait a whole year and still not finish it by Christmas. Goodness, I'm pitiful! Stay tuned though, this week the quilt will be finished and put away for the next 11 months.

This is not a To Do but a DONE! I finally finished the little quilt for the new baby girl Hana who made her appearance 5 weeks early. Don't look too close, I was having problems with the tension on my free motion quilting in the section. EEK!

I know that's not much of a To Do list but it's what's on mine this week.
What's on your To Do list for the week?

  1. Congratulations on getting a new daughter in love soon! Are they staying in Texas? (Is that where he is?)

    1. Tammy, hes in Texas but we is planning on coming here as a missionary. It's gonna be a long time but eventually i'll have grands close.

  2. Your Christmas quilt will be waiting, all finished for next year. Nothing wrong with that! The pink baby quilt is adorable. I laughed with your remark because I always caution people not to look too closely at my work. My problem is the binding. Have a blessed day.

  3. Also - forgot to congratulate your son and his intended on the upcoming nuptials. How exciting. They look so sweet together.

  4. Congrats on the engagement! Your quilt looks beautiful. Can't wait to see it done!

I am joining you for To Do Tuesday! :)

  5. Congrats on the engagement....I am so happy for you all. I love the quilts regardless....have a happy Tuesday, my friend.

  6. LOL Your Christmas Quilt project definitely sounds like a project schedule I would also have. :) Glad you're getting it done! Congrats on your son's engagement!

  7. Eeek!!! Congratulations to you and your whole family on the engagement! How exciting! :) They look so cute together. Happy New Year to you all!

  8. Your quilts are lovely, in fact you have inspired me to get back to my patchwork again!

  9. I'm much the same - I love all the activity and family time of December, but I love the down time of January afterward as well. I refer a quieter pace of life with a little excitement thrown in every now and then. :-) The quilts look nice. How exciting about the engagement!

  10. Congrats to the new couple! How exciting!

    Love the quilts!

Glad to see you back to posting. Holidays are nice but I like to read everyone's blogs and what they are learning.

Here is my To Do Tuesday post:

  11. Congrats on the impending nuptials!

  12. Congratulations to the happy couple! I cannot believe your son is all grown up and old enough to get married. Time sure does fly. :)
