My very first, "Join me for coffee" #1

So glad you dropped by. You know you've never had coffee till you've had it in Croatia, we have the best coffee.  So settle in and let's chat.

You know my mind's been preoccupied lately. In just a couple months I'm gonna be 40. I remember when Johnny (loving husband) turned 40, it was a real bummer for him. I totally thought he was being a drama queen but you know what, everything he said is totally true. 40 is the big one!

Seems like all of the sudden, out of no where I'm falling apart. Look I've always been healthy, no sugar or blood pressure problems and for the most part no other problems either until now.
Is it possible that its true, is 40 the big one?

What'cha think? Is 40 the big one? Have you survived it? What'cha think?

  1. For me 25 was the hardest! I was not living for the Lord back then, Bob was not even saved yet...that happened when he was 31. I couldn't bear turning a quater of a century old but I also was not in a good place in my life. I didn't like myself and struggled with depression. 40 was pretty uneventful for me. Bithdays are just another year closer to Jesus now for me!

  2. I have a way to go before I turn 40, but I think age is just a number. And honestly, I think 40 certainly isn't "old".

  3. I think every year is the "big one"! lol! I'm turning 35 on March 25 and I'm getting sweaty palms about it for some reason. I guess I'm feeling old and used up. I hope the feeling passes. I enjoyed the "coffee"! :)

  7. I turn 42 this year and while I admit I have some "issues" that I have never had, I still feel I haven't hit the big one yet. But that doesn't mean it won't happen after July. ;)

  8. I have had a rough year with sugars and the like (I will be 36 next month)
25 was hard for me. I was unmarried and all of my friends WERE married. I wasn't even dating. I kept thinking "I am halfway to 50!"
I used to think 35 was SO old. When I was a teen my life plan was to get married and start having kids at 35 ... because this sounded like a nice old age to start having kids LOL
ask me in a couple years how I feel about forty. :) I am sure I will be a drama queen too.
