Wichita Kansas, and a little fun!

We finished up a great conference in Salina, Kansas with Ray Avenue Baptist Church. Pastor Day and his church made us feel so at home. Monday we headed south to Wichita to spend a few days before our meeting on Wednesday with Woodlawn Baptist.  We really enjoyed some good fellowship with Pastor Talbert. On Thursday morning we headed out at 7 in the morning to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
We arrived at the motel in Albuquerque around 6:30 pm. It's gorgeous here. The mountains are awesome!! We have been to NM before but I don't remember these mountains. I'll be snapping some photos tomorrow for sure.

While in wichita we went to Old Cowtown Museum , it was really nice. We were some of the only people there and so we got free run of the whole place. We had a great time and I snapped some pretty nice photos. Here are some of my favorites.

Hannah and her Daddy.
I super-love this photo of Josh, it's one of my new favorites!
Our senior. He's graduating soon and I may use this one for his invitations. I love it!!

Josh was robbing the meat store in the old town, I think it was getting close to lunch time.
Nan, sitting in one of the old homes. It was a great place to go because you could freely roam through almost all of the buildings.
Josh was looking way too convincing in this pic. We were visiting the undertaker's home. A little eerie if you ask me.

Cody, hanging out.
I loved this old brick and since I couldn't get my kids to lie down on it i just took a photo of the brick. I'm sure I'll use the photo somewhere.
Joshua again! Looking innocent but don't be fooled!
The world's UGLIEST couch!
I can't believe that spring is here and none too early. I was almost giddy to see those blooms, that means winter's over right?
This was one of the first wooden church buildings in Kansas and it's so interesting because inside the floor boards are secured in place with pegs instead of nails. Pretty smart.
Lunch time already!!
A little before dinner show from the kids. don't quit your day jobs guys!!
Just a pretty window!
Lastly sisterly love unrequited!

Anyhoo, like I said we're in Albuquerque, NM and loving the views. I'm gonna be posting some photos soon. I know you're all getting so bored with all my amateur photography but I got a new camera for Christmas so grin and bear it!!!

  3. Looks like ya'll found something fun to do in Kansas! Loved your pictures. Can't wait til ya'll get back to our side of the world.(It feels weird saying that because I feel like we should still be in America. Now we are here in Croatia. :)

AND! I love the one of Hannah sitting in the hold home. She is so adorable. :)

Do you know Courtney from Courtney's Contemplations? Now she's blogging from Sweet Tea and Buttermilk. Anyway, they're on deputation now, planning to go to NM.

I LOVE the pics, Tori!! The kids are growing up so much. Looks like you're enjoying your furlough - that's great! Thanks for sharing!
Oh and the audio bible sounds good too - I've been listening to various audio CDs on my many drives to & from mom's - last week I finished "Anne of Green Gables" (from FOF - awesome!) and am working through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace, and the audio bible (not sure what version I have - will have to look at it again, but not dramatized. it amazes me how many chapters I can "read" on a long drive - and absorb it too!).
Have a great weekend! Good to keep in touch!
