Fun at the River!

All last week it rained here in Croatia, we're talking about water standing in the yard rain. I was so tired of it and the kids had cabin fever so Monday we loaded all the bikes in the big van and headed to the Drava river, which is about 20 minutes from us. We had it all figured out, a little riding, a snack and some more riding and lunch and so on. We arrived, got all the bikes out and then noticed that Johnny's bike was flat, that was odd since we had checked it before we left home. then we realized that my bike also had a problem with the valve and was flat too. So the plans changed, the kids rode and Johnny and I walked. We didn't stay as long but it was nice. We took an educational trail and learned a little about the animals and foliage that live along the river.

We had a great time and we're headed there again on Dad's day off.

  10. Ok, I like being outdoors but not in wooded areas like that. I would be terrified of snakes and other crazy critters. I'm glad you had a nice time but I'm also glad I wasn't invited. :)

  13. It's been raining here for about 2 weeks too. Today was the first day of sun. They've warned people to stay away from the river as a lot of the paths are washed out.

Your ride looks fun. Beautiful greenery and quite the bug. Too bad you had flats. But a nice outing anyway.
