Beautiful Weather and a New Name!

Finally, it's lovely today, it's about 75° and gorgeous. Early this morning Ljubica (national pastor's wife) and I went to Slovenia to do a little shopping. We didn't find any great bargains but we had a good time together.

After I got home Johnny and I worked in the yard a bit and something wonderful happened. As we were raking a man came to the gate and said Dobar Dan ( good day). Johnny walked over and immediately said, "Tori, look who it is." I stared a minute and then realized who it was. Anđeljko came to our teen camp years ago, about 6 actually. We haven't seen him in years and now he's all grown up, he has a wife and new baby. Johnny talked with him for a bit and then popped the question, "If you were to die today do you know 100% sure that you would go to heaven?" Anđeljko looked at Johnny and said "no". Johnny proceeded to share the Good News with him and after some time Anđeljko received Jesus as his Savior and a new name is written down in Heaven. We were delighted!! Hey it's great when you don't have to go after them but they come to you.

It's Monday and we have soul-winning today so I better go and get ready. Hoping your Monday is as nice as mine!!!

  17. Hi Tori - I recently found your site through a link. I am excited because you are a missionary, now in a closed country. My daughter is a freshman missions major and has a burden for unreached people groups - especially those in "closed" countries. Enjoy reading your posts very much; shows what everyday missionary life is like. Thanks for taking time to share. It can be an encouragement to others who are planning on entering the mission field.

  18. At our Missions conference last night, Brother Runion from IBOM was saying just that same thing about how great it is when they come to YOU. He said he was in an airport for a layover and the airport was crowded with standing only. But the chair next to him was open and a person sat down. They began to talk and he led that person to the Lord. They got up to leave and another person sat down. He began to talk them and led them to the Lord too. When they got up...you guessed it...another person sat down and he led him to the Lord too. They were in the Philippines and this little woman started yelling at him and wanting him to read the Bible to her. He was pretty sure she wanted to get saved so he prayed the Lord would help him translate correctly. Well, he was taking her through the scripture and she was crying and he asked her if she was ready to accept Christ. She said, "Oh no, no, no, I accepted Him yesterday...I just wanted to hear it again." Isn't that precious?

  21. Oh, Praise the Lord! What a blessing to hear that testimony! I'm sure the seed had been planted in his heart years ago, and brought him to your gate, ready to find truth. AMEN!

...And thank the Lord for sending the Leslie's to Croatia, so they might be there for him!
