I think I can, I think I can...Nope I Can't!!!!

Do you ever feel like this? Totally frustrated, you know what you want but just can't make it happen? This dog and I are in the same unloved boat. You know that feeling, you know what you want but just can't get it.

Yes that's about it today. I know what I want, a spotless house and a thin body but I'm going through one of those times when I am just totally deprived of motivation. I mean I have a clear insight to what needs to be done and how, but I just really don't care??? Well that's where I am. Hey I'm not calling the kettle white, I know it's sin, but I just can't seem to get out of it.

If you didn't already know, I have the best husband in the world, no really I do! He is so good to me and so considerate of me. When I have times like these, and they are usually right before uncle TOM comes to visit and I just can't shake it, my dear one is so kinda and easy going.

Let's see, what I got done yesterday: cleaned the LR, dining room, kitchen and did 3 loads of laundry. Yea I know, seems like a lot, (of course it was all dirty again an hour later!) but wait... I didn't get the following things done: the rest of the laundry, clean out the fridge, my closet room, the bathrooms, the front patio, the desk, hummm shall I go on, nahhh!

So you see I had a pretty fruitless day yesterday. Oh yea and my diet and died! I don't know why I can't get on board with this, I do great the first week and loose 2 kilos usually but after that I fall back into this trap and it is a trap. So I dunno, guess I'll have to go do some real talking with my Father and pray He'll help me, Of course He will He always does!

Sorry for rambling so, oh yea and I'm sure you've realized that English grammar isn't my stong point???

  1. Oh, I am cracking up! Sorry, I had never heard of Uncle Tom, took me a second to figure out! I do hope your day is better tomorrow. You don't know how completely I understand...

  2. Oh! We're living parallel lives! Diet drops, hormonal upsets and sweet husbands; do you feel like you're moving through a motivational fog most days? I'm right there with you.

I'm going to start living by lists so I can SEE what I HAVE done. I just can't seem to find the umph to make the list. *yawn*

Thanks for visiting my tour today and for leaving a comment so that I could find you. I'm interested to come back and read more about your life as a missionary.

    The Lord bless you.

  4. Aw, Tori, look at what you DID do, not what you didn't do! I'm sorry you're feeling this way. I need to lose weight, and I'm even exercising, but I haven't been eating the way I know I should. Getting motivated is hard!

    Big hugs!!!

Bless your heart!!! I sure do know how you are feeling. And Uncle TOM huh?? Mine is Aunt Flo!! LOL It's funny the names we'll come up with to refer to that. I have alot of days like you are having though. Yesterday was one of those. I didn't get any laundry done...I did dishes twice and I worked out twice....but that was about the end of it for yesterday. My oldest daughter even cooked supper. But I had a problem with my knee going on and it was in alot of pain. So that was part of the reason for that. I too have a great husband that doens't complain and is very supportive. I feel so sorry for the wives out there that have sorry husbands that all they do is lay around and complain about what their wives don't do. Thank the Lord we don't have that!! I hope things begin looking up for you Sis!! You're doing the right thing though....going to the Father about it!!

  6. Aawww! (((Hugs))) You hang in there, girl! Sometimes we all seem to have those bad days, but the Lord is still there!

By the way, I just noticed your good person link on the side...don't know if it's new or if I've been totally unobservant. Anyway, I think that is so cool that you put it up. :)

  7. Count me in as another one to join your club of hormones, too many undone chores, and once thin figure gone awry.
But honestly, sometimes I think we can be too hard on ourselves. Look at all you DID accomplish! Just like children need positive reinforcment, we need to give it ourselves now and then. Then our motivation grows as we encourage ourselves.

Oh...and I always call it Aunt Flo, too. :)
    Hang in there, Tori!

  8. Tori, I used to be weary of a messy house, when Uncle Tom came to visit, and my weight was up. Well, my weight is still up, Uncle Tom still visits monthly, and my house is usually always still a wreck. But I try to stay focussed on something else...The fact that I will have a clean mansion that is currently under construction by the Master Builder, and that I will have a new and glorified body where weight will never be an issue and Uncle Tom will never visit again! LOL

    Love ya!

  9. I understand the weight thing. OOh boy. We just got back from vacation on and I ate WAY too much. I mean, SERIOUSLY way to much. LOL!!! I dread my weigh-in on Monday!! I'll bet I'm up about 8 pounds from 2 weeks ago!! HA!!

BUT tomorrow is another day. I WILL be back on my plan tomorrow and YOU CAN TOO!!! You know what to do- just do it. Watch portions, exercise, drink water... you've done it before and had GREAT success. DON'T GIVE UP NOW!!! You CAN do it!!!!

    His,
Mrs. U (who TOTALLY understands not being motivated to lose weight!!!)
