Hannah's Cake

Okay, I am pretty good at alot of things, but cake decorating has never been one of my strong points. Forget going to Wal-Mart and ordering a cake with the colors, writing and theme you want, not in Croatia. So anyhoo, here's my little cake for Hannah's 9th.


Hannah told me yesterday, since she is now a new age she has picked a new favorite color. Her favorite color has been pink since she was old enough to like colors, now for the first time it's blue hence the blue cake.


I used an icing recipe from my friend Amanda, she makes cakes as a hobby and is pretty good at it too. This icing recipe calls for almond extract and it's delish.

    Wow! You did a great job! I am impressed! =) I have tried writing with icing before, just to decorate gingerbread men, and it is hard!

    Okay so pictures are so much better than the real thing. The tip for writing was too large, see my fat words, next time I'm going to try to find a finer tip. It was fun though. Thanks for the encouraging words!
