Sew Crazy!

Hey remember this post from a couple weeks ago well I finally finished it. I used the great tutorial at Sew Mama Sew and even though it's not a huge quilt it's still a quilt. Maybe this is the beginning of something beautiful, we'll see!

Okay so for my birthday which is on Thursday, 36 wonderful years, Thank you very much, Johnny got me a new MP3 player. My old one bit the dust after falling out of my van and onto the drive way and subsequently being ran over and squished to bits. Anyhow Johnny got me a new one and since I carry it in my purse I decided it needed a cutesy carrying case. I found a great tutorial for and an IPod Cozy over at Sew Mama Sew Blog and yesterday between church I made one from this fabric.

Don't look to closely at my stitches, you may be disappointed!

Oh yea one more little thinggy, that has nothing to do with sewing, for Nina over at Portugal Bound.

Nina posted back around Valentines Day about a little get-to-gether she had and she posted this picture of her and her valentine sitting in their home. Well I noticed immediately that Nina has wonderful taste, no not her husband although they do make a very handsome couple but the couch. I like that couch. Actually I like it so much because it's mine!! Actually the one they are sitting on isn't mine but I have one just like it. How much of a kawinkidink is that?? I mean she lives in Portugal and I live in Croatia, we are bloggy friends and who would have thunk it?

Adding to the Blogger Family

I'm so happy to announce that my sweetie has decided to take up blogging. He's been encouraged to write before but who has the time. Well I sold him on the ease of Blogger and I'm happy to say he's doing a great job.

I did it! I did it!!!

I switched to Google Reader today and I'm so glad I did. I was surprised to see how many posts you guys have made that Bloglines wasn't reading. Wow, should have switched long ago. So for those of you who wondered why I didn't drop by your blog anymore, you know why now, Bloglines is guilty!

I've been putting off switching for a while because I didn't want to take the time to put all of my 225 feeds into a new reader. But there is a very easy way to do it from Bloglines and I'll fill you in now.

To switch from Bloglines to Google Reader:

1. Go to your feeds page on Bloglines.

a. in the left frame you will see ADD, EDIT, OPTIONS just below the tabs.

b. click EDIT

c. scroll to the bottom of that frame and you will see IMPORT SUBSCRIPTIONS and
EXPORT SUBSCRIPTIONS

d. click on EXPORT SUBSCRIPTIONS

e. when bow pops up click on SAVE TO DISK (this will save it to your computer)

f. now go to Google Reader and in the right hand corner you will see SETTINGS, click that

g. you will now see a page with tabs, click on the IMPORT/EXPORT tab

h. now you will see an empty field with SELECT OPML file

i. click BROWSE and find the OPML file on your computer

j. once you've found it, UPLOAD and then it's finished.

k. pat yourself on the back for a job well done!

Okay now that's you've switched it's probably a good idea to go through and clean up your feeds a bit. I went through just one section of my feeds and I was surprised to see how many people hadn't posted in months, so I cleaned up a bit. It's very easy to delete feeds in Google Reader.

BTW, if you are still following your blogs by visiting each one, it's probably time to upgrade to a feed reader, it's super easy and it saves alot of time!

Anyhow, have fun and I hope the instructions are clear.

Souls Being Saved!

Well as you've noticed I removed the running account of souls being saved in the soul-warning marathon. The list had begun to get rather long and we are only 3 days into the 11 days.

So, I've created yet another blog to keep up with the joyous news. Get Over Yourself! is a blog about what can happen when we get over ourselves and step aside and let the Holy Spirit work.

Please do me a favor, go by and check out the blog. I am posting the information but the blog is actually not mine, it's just a place where we can rejoice together that yet another name is written down. Also, you can learn a little about the soul-winners.

I've decided to start another blog, as if I have time for that! Anyhow, one of my special likes is windows. Windows in every shape, color and style. I love 'em and I have millions of pictures too. So I've decided to share them here. Just a fun place, no seriousness at all.

Hey gals, did you know that Mary Engelbreit has her own magazine? Really it's called Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion and it looks like a wonderful magazine. The online magazine features a hands on section with tutorials. Ohhh, looks like a wonderful use of high gloss paper.

I found ME magazine while looking at one of my favorite crafty blogs, HELLO my name is Heather.
Heather really is a princess living in wonderland. She has a wonderful blog and please make sure you check out her, my studio link, it's like a dream.

Lately I've really been into all these crafty blogs. Some people are so talented. Another great blog I like to frequent is Today's Creative Blog. I love this blog and she links to tons of top crafting blogs. Anyhoo, I thought I would share this with ya and I'm sure you'll be motivated to get busy and creative!
