Look What I Found!

Can you believe it??? Do you realize the significance of this find? Can you even see it? Well I'm at the grocery store here in Croatia and I'm walking down the isle and look what I see. Okay that's Euro creme which is a hazelnut creme spread like Nutella and beside it is our normal peanut butter creme that they just started carrying a few years ago and above that?? See it with the blue lid...it's SKIPPY!!! Yep, Skippy peanut butter! Hey do you see the price below it. It's says 37 kuna which equal to almost $8. I'm not kidding. Anyhow, this is my great find for the week, pretty cool huh and I bet it even tastes like Skippy too. °Ü°

  1. Oh, I'm so happy for you! when we were over in Nepal this spring. Mrs. Ortiz(the missionary's wife) found some Smuckers grape jelly at the grocery store...she was sooo excited since they hadn't been able to find grape jelly anywhere. Needless to say she bought all that they had on the shelf just in case it didn't stay in stock.

  4. Our Russian brand peanut butter is $6!!! It's about the size of the Skippy...we haven't needed to buy it yet thankfully!!!
Congrats...we also have something called Nutti---is white and brown hazelnut---better than Nutela and CHEAPER by far!!! You might look for it!

  6. Oh, man, I love PB so much that if that was all I could find, I'd shell out the 8 bucks!

  7. I am so never going to complain about the price of PB going up again. I'd savor every precious bite with that price.

  8. We recently switched to Smuckers Natural peanut butter (no hydrogenated oils); it took some getting used to, but we really like it a lot! Now when I try "regular" peanut butter, it is too sweet! lol

Anyway, I can totally imagine how excited you are! When we were in Japan, there were things that took a while to make it overseas, and I remember being ecstatic when something I missed finally made it on to the shelf! :o)
