-This may be hard since I'm such a normal kinda gal, but here goes:

1. My husband and I were baby-sat for by the same lady for a year when we were 5 and 6 years old. We didn't know each other growing up until we met 12 years we met and married.

2. My hair is very dark brown but in reality it's a really ugly hue of gray, really!

3. I was baptized three times before I finally realized that baptism wouldn't save me.

4. My first job was working at a Motts 5-10 store when I was 15. I worked there just long enough to earn enough money to buy my very first pair of Justin ropers. They were white! :0)

5. I have been to at least 29 states and 9 countries.

6. I'm really really really don't like spiders!!!

7. I almost never forward forwards when people send them to me, especially the ones that tell me if I really love Jesus I will send them, those I delete automatically!!

I can't believe how hard it was to think of 7 wierd facts about me, you know I'm a pretty strange bird, go figure!!!

Okay I'm tagging:

It's Not About Turkey

Thanksgiving is not about turkey,
Stuffing and pumpkin pie,

Neither holiday hoopla,
Nor parades passing by...

Dare I mention football
With its endless string of games,

Being a couch potato,
Or a day off from work with pay?

Thanksgiving once was set aside
To bless and honor God,

To thank Him for His mercies
And for the land on which we trod.

Thanksgiving is a holy day
Sacred and set apart,

A special day of reverence
With rejoicing from the heart.

Family, food, and fellowship
Most certainly have their place;

But don't forget to bless the Lord
Full of love and grace.

But THANKS BE TO GOD, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ
1 Cor 15:57

*******************

T'was the night of Thanksgiving, But I just couldn't sleep
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.

The leftovers beckoned The dark meat and white,

But I fought the temptation With all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation,
The thought of a snack became infatuation.

So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door,

And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

Gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,

Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,

'Til all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling, Floating into the sky,
With a mouthful of pudding And a handful of pie.

But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees. . . .
Happy eating to all - pass the cranberries please.
*******************

May your stuffing be tasty,
May your turkey be plump,

May your potatoes 'n gravy
Have nary a lump.

My your yams be delicious,
May your pies take the prize,

May your Thanksgiving dinner
stay off of your thighs.

Algebra Teacher, I think not!!

Okay so now as I get older, the kids are getting older too. We now have a 10th grader, 7th and 5th. You know what I realized, I don't have any idea how to do Algebra, no really! So what's a homeschooling mother to do anyway? Well after trying many different products we have finally found the BEST Algebra course for homeschoolers around.

Teaching Textbooks "was founded by two brothers, Shawn and Greg Sabouri (a Harvard graduate and former Harvard math tutor). The two realized that software could be used to make math instruction better, easier, and more affordable. Today, the company produces a whole range of math programs that enable students to learn from top-notch tutors while in the comfort of their homes."
We have been using TT for the lase several weeks and Algebra has never been so easy, we love it!!

Just Some Stuff

Well I thought I would share this photo with you guys. Only is Roswell, New Mexico can you go to the local gas station and get your yearly flu shots! :0)

Now something more serious, a friend sent me this poem today and I like it! Thought I would share it with ya. Thanks Donna!

When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'"
I'm whispering "I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

W hen I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not holier than thou,
I 'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow!

“A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her."

**what a great saying, how many problems would be solved in relationships today if we as women practiced this???

Snow in Texas!!

Isn't it pretty, okay so it's not really snow but isn't it pretty. I love the panhandle of Texas at this time of year, the cotton fields are so pretty. After they reap all the cotton then the roads are lined with the remnants of the crop, it's a very pretty sight, especially for a Texan!!

Croatia meets Chile!

How exciting is this?? Do you know who these ladies are in this picture with me? Huh, huh??

Well since you asked, this is Rhonda from over at Missionary Mom. Yea, while in Amarillo, TX I met up with Rhonda and her sweet family at the local IHOP. Bro. Neil, Rhonda, Ilene, Ronnie and Rhonda's sweet mom were all there. We enjoyed lots of fellowship over our pancakes and Rhonda really is as sweet as she seems in blogdom.

It was so neat to hear all about the work in Chile and we're excited that there's such a good witness there.

Praise the Lord for new friends!!
