Okay, so week 6, day 1, I woke up ready to run and was a little disappointed that I couldn't walk without pain or my crutch. I was able to walk without the crutch for a few steps but not more than that because my knee would, out of nowhere, have a huge shocking pain. I really felt like my knee was completely unreliable and very weak. So the next day, I woke up and my knee seemed fine except the usual pain. Oh and let me stop here and tell you this:
WEAR SHOES!
When I would walk without shoes my pain was about a 7-8, with shoes the pain goes way down, like a 2.5-3, so, WEAR SHOES!
The more I walked the more my leg hurt but I noticed that all the swelling I was experiencing wasn't in my knee but the inside my calf below my knee. I remembered that before my surgery this was an issue and the MRI showed Tendenopathy and Bursitis of the pes anserine bursa. Btw, I didn't have an issue with this part of my leg until after I hurt in in 2021 and walked on it for almost 10 months.
The thing is, this issue is usually cleared up with rest but I actually completely rested my leg for 6 whole weeks. Also during those 6 weeks, I had all sorts of therapy: lasar, magnets, electric therapy, and deep muscle heat therapy. So, I said all that to say, I'm off to the Specialist to see what can be done by way of a shot or something like that. I'll let y'all know in part 3.
Be back soon for part 3
