Well I managed to finish one of my apron projects. I didn't actually get to use the coordinating check pattern but I really wanted to. I wanted to use it to make bias tape but I couldn't figure it out. So...I did it with orange bias tape. I really want to learn to make bias tape so I searched and found this article. I guess I'm gonna need to find a bias tape maker, I found some here and they look really easy to use.
Anyhow, back to the apron, here's the orange one, I like the look of it but it's not the most flattering from the back .
Also you can't see it but the whole apron has bias tape trim and two pockets on it. They blend pretty good.
Anyhow, I really can't wait to make the green one but I really want to make some bias tape using the coordinating fabric I found. So I'll let you know how it goes.
Sew cute!! (Sorry, lousy pun! I couldn't resist.) :) I love aprons!! It looks great!

You did great on the apron. I hope you do invest in a bias tape maker. I have a few in different sizes, and I LOVE them! They are very easy to use, and mine (Clover brand) came with instructions on the package. You'll never go back to paying for bias tape again!
ReplyDeleteLove it! And you can make bias tape without a special tool, you just have to fold it manually, and burn your fingers while ironing it. ;o)
ReplyDeleteWOW! you did great! I like that a lot!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I love that style apron.

Maybe not the most flattering back, but you won't have problems with the apron falling down your shoulders. I love this style of apron, and you did a great job!
