Warm and Fuzzy!

So I have been looking everywhere for fleece here in Croatia and couldn't find any but I did manage to find a few little throws in Austria. YEA! I've been wanting to make something for the cutest little girl (who isn't a Leslie) this side of the Atlantic Ocean. Megi (above) the youngest daughter of the national pastor has stolen my heart. I love this little one and would do just about anything for a hug. :0)
Anyhow, I tried my hand at the fleece stuff and was pleasantly surprised at how easy this stuff is, even an idiot (hmmm, see photo below) could make something out of this stuff.

I made this muffler and cap for little miss Megi and it was fun! I really enjoyed it. Here are so excellent links for tutorials.

1. lots of tutorials here.
2. cute little caps here.
3. of course, Martha has some too.
4. pretty easy one here.
5. super easy one here.

Have fun!

I don't think so!

So anyhow, the other day I took Hannah to look for a new coat for winter. She has a really long dress coat but nothing for casual wear so we went looking. Really liked this black check one until we looked a bit closer, check out the pocket on this jacket! In case it's not real clear it says, SEE YOU IN HELL!

Are you kidding me?? What sort of lunatics put something like that on a young girls coat? Come on, what were they thinking or not??

Anyhow, I ripped it all out and now the pocket is blank but just the fact it was on there is FREAKY!

I have to say, YOU WONT SEE ME IN HELL, no way, no how, ain't gonna happen! Hell is anything but stylish and hip. All this junk about going to Hell and partying is for the birds and the devil. Hell is a wicked, dark, painful place that lasts forever. NOPE, you won't find me there!!

Check out what the HOLY WORD OF GOD has to say about Hell. Not on the top of my future vacation spots and if you're not sure, please take a moment and read this and make sure that Hell isn't printed on your eternal itinerary!

Deu 32:22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

Psa 55:15 Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in ther dwellings, and among them.

Psa 86:13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

Psa 116:3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

Psa 139:8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

Prov 5:5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

Prov 7:27 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Isa 28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

Isa 57:9 And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase thyself even unto hell.

Ezek 31:16 I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.

Ezek 31:17 They also went down into hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.

Hab 2:5 Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:

Mat 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Mat 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Mat 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Mat 11:23 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

Rev 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Starla a faithful reader left this little announcement:
The party in Hell has been canceled
due to fire.

direct effect

One of the direct effects of two weeks of standing in the streets 7 hours a day and telling folks about Jesus:
Not to mention the 66 souls that have called upon the name of Jesus for eternal salvation.

Soul-winning marathon!

For those of you who remember the soul-winning marathon we had here a year ago last May, well guess what, it's that time again!!

Our dear friend and co-laborer Bro. Sam Ward arrived on Saturday rip roaring and ready to go. He will be here with us for the next two weeks and the soul-winners will be out everyday in the streets witnessing for at least 6 hours daily.

The marathon began Saturday morning before Johnny picked up Bro. Sam and Johnny was blessed to get to lead a man to Christ in a nearby city. We are so excited to see what God is going to do this next 14 days.

Johnny picked up Bro. Sam from his 9 hour flight and guess what they did as soon as they left the airport. They headed into the capitol and began witnessing and passing our tracts immediatly. They passed out hundreds of tracts and got to talk with many people. Please pray that those tracts continue to speak to hearts long after they've been handed out.

If you would like to keep up with all the happenings the next two weeks then please visit the Get Over Yourself! blog which will be updated daily.

If you have the time and will please pray with us.

1. Please pray for the soul winning efforts all this week in the city of Čakovec.

2. Please be in prayer for Bro. Sam's health and also for all the soul-winners to stay strong and healthy during this two weeks.

3. Please remember to pray for the meeting at the Dom Sindikat in the center of town on Friday. Pray that all of the converts will be there and stirred to live for God.

4. Please pray for God to grip the hearts of every member of the church here in Cakovec for souls and that a raging fire for souls will be kindled in Croatia that will burn till Jesus comes. God wants to turn the world upside down for Christ. The only question is, Do We?

I know that many of you will pray and I would like thank you in advance for any words sent upward for this marathon.

Here turkey, turkey, turkey

The other day we were buying groceries and I was in awe at all the Christmas merchandise on the shelves. Christmas?? Hello it's just now October so why are marzipan candies and chocolate Santas lining the shelves?? I totally expect this in the all-consuming US to here in Europe they tend to be a bit more traditional. Okay so they don't celebrate Thanksgiving but they usually don't put all the Christmas stuff out yet either.

The all consuming dollar (or what ever currency you use) has pushed the God and family oriented holiday of Thanksgiving off the bus. Yes I did find some Fall-ish napkins but other than that it's pretty much jack-o-lanterns and Santa Clauses.

Along with all other Godly things in the world the holiday of Thanksgiving, set aside to, duh...Give God Thanks will soon be a memory.

I remember waiting till Thanksgiving night when all the hoopla was over and I would turn on the radio because the non-stop Christmas radio would start on Thanksgiving and then it was time to start looking forward to Christmas. Now since the red and green holiday is being forced down our throats so soon it just makes me a little bitter and defiant. I will as always not even think about Christmas until Thanksgiving is over. Okay so maybe a menu, early shopping or so but no red or green or little mangers will be displayed in our humble abode until the carcass of our half-eaten gobbler is cold!
